Bosnia: 25th Anniversary of the Church in Mostar

The evangelical church in Mostar is one of the oldest in all of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Recently, it celebrated its 25th anniversary! In that country, that is a long history for a church! One missionary says: “The church started its work eight years before the war. During the war, the believers were scattered and the building heavily damaged. But some faithful believers had a vision to rebuild the place. They worked hard in spite of many difficulties. Now, the building is completely restored. In addition to the local church, it also accommodates the Bible school and training center for current and future church leaders.” All of the former and current pastors of the church were invited to the celebration of the anniversary. Their stories about the work in Mostar were reminders of God’s faithfulness. The Owner of the church, the Beginner and the Completer of its work, is the Lord!

Prayer Points
1. Praise God for His faithfulness to the church of Mostar.
2. Pray for growth, both numerical and spiritual, of the church in this next season.
3. Pray for good ongoing working relationship between missionaries there and the church.
